Please be advised that by requesting service, you as an owner of your unit, and member of the association, are agreeing to the following payment terms:

  1. CHARGED to OWNER – If the service provided is to correct an issue or repair an item that (per the governing documents), is found NOT to be the responsibility of the association; the cost of repairs will be charged back to the owner by the association.
  2. HOA RESPONSIBILITY – If the service provided is to correct an issue or repair an item that (per the governing documents), is found to be the responsibility of the association; the cost of repairs will be paid by the association.
  3. REPAIRS NEEDED AS A RESULT OF ANOTHER UNIT – If the service request to correct an issue or repair is an item that is found to be the responsibility of another unit owner; the board of directors in their sole discretion may choose not to initiate the repairs and the owners will need to work amongst themselves.  If the board decides to proceed with the repairs the contractors and materials will be their choice.  The cost of repairs may or may not be charged to the unit owners as determined by the board of directors at their sole discretion.
  4. REPAIRS WICH MAY INCLUDE COMMON ELEMENTS – If the service provided is to correct an issue, repair an item or common element that the board of directors, in their sole discretion, deems was caused by the owner, the owner’s family member, guest, or tenant, the cost of the repairs will be charged back to the owner by the association.
  5. INSURANCE CLAIMS – If you request an insurance claim to be filed, keep in mind the deductible is the responsibility of the unit owner(s).

*If you are are unsure of where the responsibility to maintain an item lies, please consult the governing documents which can be found on your community website and communication portal.  Sometimes the maintenance responsibility is unknown until the problem is inspected, evaluated and repaired.

** If you are not the owner of the unit, you must contact your landlord or landlord’s management company to request service.
